We make the Prodigy MSc Practical Workplace Project Platform available free of charge to universities, students and employers and provide additional support through Data Science Foundation membership services
Key Points
The Prodigy MSc Project Programme is a Free-to-Member service. There are no fees, charges or commissions
Prodigy is non-exclusive, meaning that it can be used to supplement the MSc project generation work done by the university and the student
Organisations are not bound by a contract to pay an introduction or recruitment fee, often in the region of £5000, if they decide to offer a student full-time employment
Working with Prodigy offers students more projects to choose from in sectors that interest them
Students on Prodigy MSc projects are more likely to be offered employment due to the fact that there are not recruitment fees to pay
Why Free of Charge?
Increased opportunities for students
We took the decision to make this sevice available free of charge to all participants in the hope that this would generate more interest and as a result more project offers for students
The more companies that participate, the better chance the student has of finding a company offering a project in a sector which interests them
Remove barriers to employment offers
After a successful project placement, if we were to offer this service along the lines of a recruitment commpany and ask for up to 20% of starting salary, then the chance of a student being recruited are reduced
Reduced risk
Prodigy is free to companies, universities and students
There are no fees to pay during or after participation
We do not ask for exclusivity
Participants can withdraw at any time
