Emma is the founder and CEO of Thwaites Communications, a boutique comms agency specialising in data, science and emerging technologies. A former Cabinet Office Director of Strategic Communications, BBC news editor and now, business owner, Emma has nearly 30 years' expertise in politics, policy, and technology across the public and private sectors. For the past seven years, she has been retained by the Open Data Institute, where she provides strategic communications advice to its founders Sir Tim Berners Lee and Sir Nigel Shadbolt. A member of the #AIinPR panel, Emma is a passionate supporter of startup and scale-up businesses, and her client portfolio includes several early-stage data companies. Since founding Thwaites in 2012, her agency has worked with organisations as diverse as Arup, the Open University, Innovate UK and five of the 11 Catapults. Alan is the Head of Analytics and Data Science at Direct Line Group, working with the business to drive increased value from data through the adoption of new skills, methods, tools and technologies. Prior to that he was at Deloitte where he built and lead the data science capability for the Financial Services group within Risk Advisory. This primarily involved the application of machine learning to help risk and operations teams do things faster and better across insurers, asset managers and banks. Prior that Alan did a short stint in academia where he did a PhD in Particle Physics.

Siddha Ganju, an AI researcher who Forbes featured in their 30 under 30 list, is a Self-Driving Architect at Nvidia. As an AI Advisor to NASA FDL, she helped build an automated meteor detection pipeline for the CAMS project at NASA, which ended up discovering a comet. Previously at Deep Vision, she developed deep learning models for resource constraint edge devices. She has served as a featured jury member in several international tech competitions including CES. She is also the author of O'Reilly's Practical Deep Learning for Cloud, Mobile and Edge.
