Enhancing Customer Experience Use Case

posted by Peppersack 19 Apr 2020

Machine Learning

While millions of people are at risk of committing suicide, teens are often the most in distress. A number of solutions have been created to reach at-risk teens and help prevent them from taking their own lives. One of these is Crisis Text Line. However, the organization found that it required assistance in measuring interaction value and creating predictive models to help create positive outcomes in the future.

Propensity Modelling at Pivotal iQ

posted by HG Insights 19 Apr 2020

Machine Learning

An important part of the Data Science Foundation’s remit is enabling the flow of new ideas. As the foundation has a wide user base, active members benefit from the opportunity of peer review across many sub-disciplines. An example is Pivotal iQ, data science specialists and leaders in the field of propensity Modelling. They wanted to demonstrate how millions of micro data points can be connected to build a picture of customer opportunity. Publishing a white paper with the Data Science Foundation offered Pivotal iQ the opportunity to demonstrate to potential clients the tools they can offer to help them better understand the customer environment. In this article, we’ll shed more light on how Pivotal iQ implements Propensity Modelling to find customer opportunities in data. Hopefully, this case study will help you implement Propensity Modelling in your own business or research using the best industry standards embodied in Pivotal iQ tools.

Artificial Friend or Virtual Foe

posted by Francesco Corea 19 Apr 2020

Machine Learning

This is a white paper focused on the use and impact of AI for social good initiatives. Several studies and prototypes have been run to prove the value of AI in high-impact fields such as healthcare (Chunara et al., 2012; Caicedo-Torres et al., 2016; Pathak and Kumar 2016; Robertson and DeHart 2010; Waidyanatha et al., 2013) or environmental issues (Tehrany et al., 2014; Ferris, 2010; Tien Bui et al., 2012; Kapoor et al., 2010). However, it is becoming clear that AI poses as many threats as benefits, although the former ones are usually neglected.

latest comment by Sureshkumar Sundaram 26 Apr 2020

AI is currently only as good as we allow it to be, but equally, great results can be achieved with the help of AI to augment the work humans already do. Much of the talk around the uses of AI has been centered on the technology occupying the more time consuming and trivial tasks, freeing people to deal with more creative and complex work.

Dynamometer-Card Data Classification Uses Machine Learning

posted by Fatai Anifowose 18 Apr 2020

Machine Learning

This is another successful use case of the in the application of machine learning in the petroleum industry.A dynamometer-card is a data acquisition system in the rod pumping system in a petroleum production field. Analyzing this data delivers valuable insight into the status of the pump and can indicate if future action is required. I have shared a report on my LinkedIn page explaining how machine learning is used to improve the surveillance of beam pumps using the dynamometer-card data and machine-learning techniques,Interested readers can access my page: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/fataianifowose_dynamometer-card-classification-uses-machine-activity-6644544993019129856-PdYB
