Public Sector Internet of Things conference
28th September 2017
The University of Salford are hosting the Public Sector Internet of Things conference on the 28th September, the event will take place on the university campus. Thanks to the university we are able to bring complimentary places to public sector professionals, with Private sector benefitting from a part funded rate.
The IOT conference will offer a full day of experience driven discussions surrounding the innovation of internal operations, from local government and healthcare, all the way to education and emergency services. Although almost 30% of organisations claim their cyber risk is high, far too many others underestimate the threat to their systems. In reality, all government agencies hold some type of valuable or sensitive material, whether it’s citizen records, financial information or procurement data.
The conference will address the following themes and more:
Presented by speakers such as:
Understanding the value to be gained from smart technology in government
Identifying the key drivers for IoT in relation to smart technology in cities
What can be gathered from the recent trends in IoT and data
Looking to the future of IoT and the government’s push to bring the public sector up to speed with the latest advancements
To register for the event please contact the event team at D.Leonard@one-cpd.co.uk, referencing the subject line ‘Gov IoT’. The event page can be found here: http://www.salford.ac.uk/onecpd/courses/the-iot-summit
