The Nurture internship programme is now live. Universities, Students and Companies are being invited to participate in the placement programme which provides internships for students studying for MSc qualifications in Data Science. The programme is a joint initiative between the Data Science Foundation and Eden Smith.
The Nurture Internship Programme supports and promotes university data science placement schemes and encourages businesses to take an interest in the skills of potential interns. The Eden Smith network facilitates introductions to industry thereby helping individuals at the start of their careers in data and analytics to gain valuable experience at leading organisations. To participate you must become a member of the Data Science Foundation, but if you participate membership is free of charge.
The initiative has been created to meet the industry placement challenge universities are facing and to ensure that students are provided with suitable placements. Placements that have a high probability of helping them to secure their first job. Companies can be confident that if that decided to offer a placement to an individual, that the individual will have been screen and matched for capability and suitability and will be professionally supported throughout the placement period.
