The Data Science Foundation, International Data Science Awards recognise best practice, innovation and excellence in data science and related disciplines. We invite entries from individuals, universities and both non-profit and commercial organisations. Entries must be submitted online via this website.
Entries will be accepted online via the datascience.foundation website between March, 2020 and September 30, 2020

Awards Entry Fee. An administration fee of £45 is charged per individual awards category entered. An administration fee of £75 is charged per organisational award category entered. A reduced entry fee of £25 is offered to registered charities and students. The fees shown are inclusive of all charges and taxes. Multiple categories can be entered, but separate entry forms must be completed for each entry. The entry fee is non-refundablee
There are 10 award categories, with one category ‘Data Science Writer of the Year’ connected to the Data Science Foundation ‘Contributor Competition’
Each winner will receive an Award Trophy.
There are no cash or other prizes for winning entries
The decision of the judges is final, appeals will not be considered
An individual or organisation may enter more than one award category
Non-members of the Data Science Foundation that wish to enter the awards will be asked to become members of the foundation. Individual membership is free of charge, organisational membership is paid on a voluntary basis
Entries received from organisations, must be received from or with the permission of a senior representative, e.g. director of the organisation with the relevant authority
Entries submitted without suitable authority or permission, or where this has been withdrawn, will not be included in the judging process. The administration fee paid will not be refunded
The names of winning individuals with photographs and the names of organisations with logos, along with the details of the type of award, how and why the award was won and other relevant information, will be published on the Data Science Foundation website, in communications, on social sites and other forms of promotional activity
Judges and representatives of the Data Science Foundation will not enter in to conversations related to entries prior to and post decision and will not provide individual feedback on entries
Entries should not include commercially sensitive information, any data that should not be disclosed to third parties or anything that might be considered privileged or private
All information included in an entry, except for contact details, may be made public
Entrants must agree to the International Data Science Awards Terms and Conditions
Entrants to the Young Data Scientist of the Year award must be under the age of 26 on 30 September 2020
All entrants will be contacted prior to judging, if the Data Science Foundation is unable to make contact with entrants to confirm details, that entrant will be removed from the judging process. The administration fee paid will not be refunded. It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that contact details are correct
The Data Science Foundation cannot be held responsible for inaccurate entries, entries that have not been received, entries which have been lost or not included in the judging process for any reason. Proof of entry is not proof of receipt
Due to the international nature of the awards, there are no plans to hold an awards ceremony in November 2020
The names of the judges will be published prior to judging taking place. This may be subject to change
Individuals working for the Data Science Foundation, judges, people connected with the awards process, members of the Steering Group and Award Sponsors are not eligible to enter the awards
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law.
The International Data Science Awards are owned and operated by the Data S. F. Ltd trading as the Data Science Foundation
The decision of the Data Science Foundation in all matters under its control is final and binding
The awards will be announced at the AI & Big Data Expo North America, Santa Clara, November 2020
The Data Science Foundation reserves the right at any time to modify or cancel, temporarily or permanently, any or all of the awards in the International Data Science Awards 2020, with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control.
The Data Science Foundation shall not be liable for any failure to comply with any of its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control
